چکیده
BehçetDisease (BD) is a systemic vasculitis characterized by recurrent oral and genital ulcers and uveitis, arthritis, and involvement of the gastrointestinal tract, central nervous system and blood vessels. The aneurysms of the pulmonary arteries, with or without thrombosis, are typical manifestation of BD. We report a case with BD, pulmonary arterial aneurysms(PAA) and in situ thrombosis. We aimed to show the effectiveness of immunosuppressive treatment on in situ thrombosis in a case with PAA and BD.

conditions must also be considered in the differential diagnosis. Arterial aneurysmal rupture is the most common cause of death in Behçet’s disease [3]. Rupture may occur in 60% of arterial aneurysms and has a varying range of fatal outcome [7]. According to Urayama et al., the mortality rate in patients with arterial aneurysm is about 60% [9]. Furthermore, 50% of patients with pulmonary artery...

متن کاملInterferon Alfa-2b Therapy in Mucocutaneous Manifestations of Behçet’s Disease
Background: Viral infections such as Epstein-Barr virus and Herpes simplex virus may play a role in the pathogenesis of Behçet’s disease (BD). Interferons (INF) are natural defense mechanisms against viruses and inhibit their activities by enhancing major histocompatibility complex class I and cytokine expression. This study evaluated the efficacy of INF-α-2b on mucocutaneous lesions of BD. Met...
